shhhh!

Bailey doesn't want her parents to know she got on the furniture at Camp SL, but it's so much easier to keep an eye on the backyard from here.

froufrou

Having spent a lot of time in the wedding dress shop lately, I ventured into the prom dress section to spice things up a bit.

Sunday shots

Betsy was kind enough to indulge me in a few shots yesterday.
There are so many great photo ops at church both inside and out.

The lighting made for a creamy effect...

I like the way the light casts heart-shaped shadows on the ground...

Silly shot...

Loving all the colors here...

This is Susan's dog, Daisy.
Daisy is a precious beagle no matter which way you look at her.
Sleeping has become her favorite activity in her old age.

fireworks

I've never had much luck shooting fireworks. Photographing them, I mean.
So I did some researching (thanks, Google) and talked with friends and gave it one more try on the 4th of July. I shot these on Bulb mode (in M), some at f8 and some at f18 at ISO 100, Matrix metering. They actually look smoother on my computer with iPhoto than they appear here.

You can see the ground a bit which is good because I had read to get a shot in perspective with the surroundings.

the grand finale...
